Weβre excited to share the fun and heartwarming wedding of Jodi and Shane; A couple so full of love and laughter that nobody could stop smiling all day β in spite of the rain!
We want to inspire couples-to-be to embrace the unexpected and create unforgettable memories. On this rainy isle, there really is no other way to do it! This wedding began in the town of Ballinasloe before a short jaunt around the picturesque town of Shannonbridge!
Rainy Wedding Day at Ballinasloe, Galway
As luck would have it, the morning of their wedding dawned with heavy clouds and gentle rain. Jodi and Shane were not two to let that dampen their spirits!
When I ment Shane, he was dressed and ready to spend the day with his best mates and dear brother. The dramatic light of the sky gave us some gorgeous portraits in the morning; the library corner in the Shearwater Hotel was particularly special!
Meanwhile, Jodi was being fussed over by her family. Her two beautiful baby daughters were also by her side in the bright bridal suite!
Once she was ready in her gorgeous wedding dress, she had an emotional first look with her father.
Storytime Ceremony
Everyone eagerly huddled together to hear Jodi and Shaneβs heartwarming love story. There was an undeniable buzz in the air when Jodi arrived!
They had a heartfelt and hilarious humanist ceremony, which reflected the couple perfectly. Their story brought everyone closer together and the room exploded with cheer when they were wed.
A Joyful Rainy Wedding at Shannonbridge
Shannonbridge is a place of great significance for both Jodie and Shane. So after the wedding ceremony, we made a quick detour south to the eponymous bridge for wedding party photos. A charming village nestled along the river, Shannonbridge was a delightful outing for all.
Just as the rain came, we ducked inside Luker’s historic pub for a few pints. There were all kinds of historic items, like vintage liquor bottles, and artefacts and ephemera from small-town Ireland, inside this museum of a pub! Outside, the rains brought a sense of cosiness and added a touch of magic to their gathering. Needless to say, the craic was mighty!
Precious Wedding Portraits at Shannonbridge
Once the rain subsided, we took the loving couple over to the docks for a few romantic portraits together. Here, they enjoyed simply being in each other’s company in the middle of such a busy day. We took a final few portraits at the titular Shannon Bridge too and bid them a fond farewell as they headed back to their venue for the rest of their celebration
The dramatic sky, flowing waters, and gentle rain created a romantic ambiance for the couple’s wedding portraits. We wanted to make sure Jodi and Shane could share a precious few moments here together, to be captured forever.
Laughter and Joy
Jodi and Shane were welcomed back with thunderous cheer. Their compelling good spirit was shared amongst everyone they met. This joyous day was truly a testament to their endearing love story, and the ability to have fun even on a rainy day.
Embracing the Unexpected
Jodi and Shane’s wedding day strongly demonstrated the value of embracing the unexpected. It can lead to extraordinary and unpredictable moments. They received the rainβs touch of magic, making so many fun memories in the process. Running through puddles; huddling in the shebeen; and sharing a kiss under their umbrella.
Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day. We wish Jodi, Shane and their family a long and happy life together!
