This Autumn wedding was truly inspirational. It was the most chilled out, happy and intimate wedding we’ve seen in Tankardstown House! This Meath venue is a wonderful place for a wedding at any time of the year, but the cool air and warm colours of autumn added such a romantic quality.
Andrea and Gareth, a young, spirited Texan and Irish couple enjoyed the prospect of marrying one another so much that this was their second wedding ceremony! (They first got married in Australia during the peak of a pandemic.)
They chose to have an Autumn wedding in Ireland; with it’s gorgeous light and rare colours, the autumn time made their wedding even more precious.
For their wedding day palette, they chose antique blue as their accent colour. This complimented the warm autumnal colours of their florals and the scenery outside!

An Autumn Wedding at Tankardstown House
Tankardstown’s Library Suite is a perfect hideaway spot for a relaxed morning. This cosy room provides a calm and familiar atmosphere to ease any morning nerves; and the light that streams through the giant bay window warms the heart.

Meanwhile, in the Master Suite upstairs, Andrea hugged and danced her way through the morning. Her family and friends beamed witnessing her pure joy.
The autumn colours gave the day a crisp freshness combined with a cosy air of sentimentality. A and G could feel just how special their wedding day was right from the get-go.
Their wedding day was stylish, delightful, and oh-so relaxed! The couple had given themselves plenty of time to prepare in the slow October morning in Tankardstownâs beautiful rooms, which set the tone for an easy day filled with laughter.

An Intimate Wedding Ceremony in the Bright Orangery
The two sadly had to leave their dear pup behind (having travelled hundreds of miles to find a good carer before they flew from Texas to Ireland). But their dogâs love was present nonetheless and doing what he does best â eating their food!

Andrea took a quiet moment in the Drawing Room before the ceremony, then joined her father to walk down the aisle.

It was an earnest and heartfelt ceremony. It thundered down outside, but despite that The Orangery provided a perfectly lit and cheerful ceremony space.

The pair were blessed and showered with kindness from their guests â and the party began!
This was a day of many meetings and big hugs; these two families had not met before and were united today to celebrate the joyful marriage of Andrea and Gareth at Tankardstown House!
Unforgettable Autumnal Portraits in the Walled Garden
Following their ceremony, we took their formal family portraits. Two families from far sides of the globe came together to celebrate the couple’s beautiful autumn wedding in Ireland.
It was them time for Andrea & Gareth’s private portraits, so we took the giddy couple out into the crisp autumnal sunshine.

Against the backdrop of Tankardstown House’s Walled Garden, the couple revelled in a portrait session that effortlessly captured the magic of the season and expressed their unique love story. The autumnal palette, with leaves painting the ground in rich reds and golds, made this day unlike any other.

An Intimate Celebration in Tankardstown House
The celebration continued with their drinks reception, which meandered through the many drawing rooms of Tankardstown House. First-time meetings and shared laughter added an air of excitement, making each moment memorable.
A defining feature of Andrea & Gareth’s day was the intentional choice to keep their guest list intimate, with only 50 guests. The result? A celebration that felt less like a production and more like a gathering of kindred spirits.
The couple were allowed plenty of quality time with their guests. All afternoon, the air was filled with laughter, shared stories, and the genuine warmth that only a smaller-scale wedding can offer.
As the sun sank into the horizon, bathing the estate in warm colours, the festivities moved to the Orangery for a famously-delicious banquet.

The Orangery was transformed from picture-perfect ceremony room to splendrous dining hall in minutes. Everyone eagerly leapt into their seats for dinner and to welcome the happy couple. And what a welcome they received!

We wish A and G a wonderful life together and many welcome returns home and travels across the world!
